Seniors Community Connect day

Join us for a FREE community event for seniors, bringing together 30+ organisations — including local clubs, activity groups, health providers, support services, community groups and state government services — all in one place. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet organisations face-to-face, ask real questions and discover new ways to stay active, informed, supported and connected as you age. Whether you’re after a new hobby, a social group, a volunteering opportunity, or simply want to know what’s available to you, this is your chance to explore it. Friday 30 October, 10am to 2pm, at Currumbin RSL. Registration required. Mini information sessions: Alongside the stalls, we’ll be running a series of relaxed mini information sessions throughout the day. Each session runs for around 20 minutes, with 10 minutes at the end for your questions. Pop in for one or stay for them all. 10:30–11:00am: Thinking of Downsizing? Discover how our Smart Steps Ahead Team can guide you through every step of the journey, presented by Alicia & Nikki from Platinum Realty. 11:15–11:45am: Walk, Talk and Connect: Heart Foundation Walking for Healthy Ageing, with Anita from the Heart Foundation. 12:00–12:30pm: Your Licence on Your Phone: Why It’s Worth It, with the QLD Government Digital Access Team. 12:45–1:15pm: Banking Safety for Seniors, with Kath Costello, Branch Manager, Bendigo Community Bank Tugun. 1:30–2:00pm: Eyes Through Time: Looking After Your Vision as You Age, with Michael Angerame from SeeWay.
