Privacy policy

do things does not collect or store your personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing about you is sold or shared. Last updated 1 October 2026.

On your device

The app and website remember a few things so they work the way you left them: the events you saved or hid, which kinds of events you prefer, your theme, and a copy of the last events downloaded so they show up offline. All of this stays on your device. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app (or clearing the website's data in your browser) removes it.

What the app connects to

The app downloads the public event listings from dothings.lol, and checks for app updates from Expo's update service. Like any request on the internet, these reveal your IP address and basic device details to the servers that answer them. The website is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep standard server logs under its own policy. We run no servers of our own for the app, keep no logs and have no way to identify you from them.

Permissions

Maps, links and sharing

Maps are shown by Apple Maps on iPhone and Google Maps on Android, and links to event pages, tickets and venues open in your browser. Those services have their own privacy policies. Sharing an event uses your device's own share sheet, and nothing goes through us.

AI assistants and Siri

The AI feed and Siri Shortcuts read the same public event files as everyone else. They contain events only, never anything about you.

Children

do things is not aimed at children, and because it collects no personal data it holds nothing about anyone of any age.

Changes

If this ever changes, for example if we add something else that collects data, we will update this page first and change the date above.
