Is Primitivism Powerful?

Sat 31 Oct, 10:30 AM AEST, 146 Scarborough St, Southport QLD 4215, Australia
Note to Attendees: Please consider making a $5 donation to contribute to the running costs of this Meetup. For most of human history, people lived in tribal communities, closely connected to nature, tradition, and one another. Modern civilisation has brought extraordinary progress, but has something valuable been lost? Can we learn from the customs, beliefs, and social structures of tribal cultures, or do we risk romanticising ways of life often marked by hardship? At this Gold Coast meetup, we’ll explore the appeal of primitivism, the wisdom of traditional societies, and what they might teach us about the future. The questions we will address are: This event will be held at SOPO Brewing Co. on the Gold Coast. It is near CSi Club Southport. This is NOT to be confused with SOPO Southport (near the library). After the discussion, we’ll stay on for a meal and a drink together — a chance to continue the conversation in a more relaxed setting and support the venue. PLEASE NOTE: Please support the venue by purchasing a drink or meal during the event. This is intended to be a good-natured but robust discussion. Please be respectful and prepared to have your ideas challenged. If you are easily offended, this event may not be for you.

Cost To help Troy keep this Meetup subscription going, it would be ideal if we can all throw down $2 on the day and I'll send it to him. About your host Hi, my name is Mark Reynolds and I began my deep healing journey in 2015, when I realised I ticked all the boxes for "low self-esteem." I became obsessed with uprooting the beliefs that were holding me down, while learning how to intentionally manifest and trust my intuition. The more I grew my awareness of the difference between ego and self, the easier it became to receive guidance from my soul and reality's cues. Now I'm in a place where I feel an equal mix of peace and excitement for what's coming next, and I'm ready to emerge from my hermit phase and grow a circle of like-minded friends again.
