‘Nimble Debris’ is a body of work produced over the last 18 months by Tim Wilson. A collection of paintings and sculptural installations which analyse the products and materials of capitalist systems. The works explore an array of everyday objects as iconography, contrasting the perceived value of mass produced commodities with that of human labour. Building off of his previous works, Wilson reflects on the process of painting as just another act of labour which is inextricably tied to a capitalist framework. Recent material explorations have incorporated various found debris mixed in with the paint to create contrasting textures of sand, saw dust and dryer lint among others. OPENING EVENT: Fri 13 Nov 4.30-9.30pm
