Join us as we team up with 4zzz’s Zed Games for Indie Dev Night, showcasing the work of local game developers! The event will be spread throughout the purgatorial rooms of Netherworld’s Lost Souls karaoke, with a different game in each room as well as in the bar area. Come along from 6pm on Thursday the 12th of November where we’ll be joined by Brisbane games studios and indie artists ready to show off their creations. Money Laundering Raccoon by OtterSea Studio A gang of raccoons have decided to start a money laundering business. There’s just one problem: they misunderstood what “money laundering” actually means. Now they’ve got a laundromat, a suspicious amount of cash, and absolutely no idea what they’re doing. Pirate Cowboy Cowboy Pirate by Glub Club A point-and-click adventure that gets weird. Control the Pirate and Cowboy as they reluctantly work together trying to find out how to escape this crumbling world. Encounter more and more obscure mixed-media environments, and solve peculiar characters’ problems as the Pirate and Cowboy learn more about the universe and themselves. Dead Fish by Glub Club (for Gameboy Colour) Play as Sebasstian, a rebellious bass who dreams of flying to Fish Planet. As a connoisseur of music, however, he simply can’t depart without his mix-tapes! As a humble fish, you can only last so long out of water. Remember to use your flops wisely unless you want to truly become… Dead Fish. Nekotiti: Queen in the Machine by FeelMakerDev Meet Nekotiti! Your new friend forever! Take care of this little sphinx and watch her grow. Feed her, solve her riddles, clean up her mess and don’t let your family see! Just make sure you keep her satisfied… Winner of the second v3Expo Game Jam, incorporating the prompts: a ghost in the machine, setting not fit for horror, sacrifice mechanics and riddles. Pupiils by suzie gar, swampsnail & 99.Devilz Med students Sloane and Eustace complete a research survey on residents with a mysterious chronic skin condition. Created for the “weird RPG jam for freaks only” hosted by Oscar Jemmott, a one week RPG jam with an audio prompt. Eyeless Descent by Fish Cube Plunge into the depths of the ocean with Eyeless Descent, an action-platformer roguelike. Play as Fsh, and embark on a quest into the darkness of the deep sea to retrieve your stolen eyes. Defeat corrupted creatures to scavenge for new weapons, and master their unique fighting styles to conquer the darkness of the abyss. Robbed Blind by Ian In Robbed Blind, you and four mates must work as a team of sneaky possums to steal as much as you can, before time runs out. The goal is to steal everything and when we say everything, we mean everything; the books, the chairs, the toilet, even the walls are up for grabs! Take it all back to your truck and make a clean getaway. Collapsi by Dominic Hefferan (Card Game) Players move around a 5×5 square of randomly placed cards, flipping over (collapsing) cards behind them as they move around the board. Each card has a number; this determines your moves on your next turn (land on a 5 card, move 5 cards next turn, and so on). The card you end on is the card you collapse when you leave. Players cannot travel through or over a collapsed card, and the last player who can make a legal move is the winner. Deciding where to move, which card to collapse, and how to survive is all part of the fun. Born Guilty by Thomas Dougalis A high-mobility third-person Roguelite shooter, fight hordes of enemies, powerful bosses through procedural themed zones in order to escape a prison planet. Entry is free, so just pop from 6pm to 9pm to get involved! You can listen to Zed Games on 4zzz on Thursdays at 6pm Poster by @swampsnail.art Please note: Karaoke will not be available during this special event
