Discover the fascinating world of flowers and the peculiar Pollinators who work with them at our Spring hub school holiday activities at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Take off on a scientific exploration of our Sensory Garden, bursting with blooms of all shapes and sizes and bring your findings back to the hub where you can take a closer look with microscopes and magnifying glasses. Get your hands dirty and turn science into art by making 3D clay pollen models and sensational seed balls. Finally compile all your field notes and decorate them with pen or a paintbrush while you discover more about the precious pollinators who help to keep our flowers fantastic and our fruit plentiful. Bring a picnic blanket and lunch to enjoy on our grassy lawn. Note: Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult. Location: Meet at the Auditorium lawn. Please wear a hat and enclosed shoes; and bring a keep cup or water bottle. This workshop supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community dedicated to putting the plant back into planet. For more information, send an email.
