Did you know that the Titanic had just one Australian survivor? Renowned journalist and broadcaster Lisa Wilkinson’s meticulously researched book brings to life an incredible but forgotten true story. In 1912, Evelyn Marsden, a young South Australian nurse who wanted to travel the world and fall in love, found herself caught up in one of the most infamous maritime disasters in history. The Titanic Story of Evelyn is a riveting account of one woman’s courage and her survival against the odds. Brisbane Writers Festival is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.
