IRFF26 Roots/Fréwaka

Haunted by a personal tragedy, home care worker Shoo is sent to a remote village to care for the old and deeply troubled Peig, who fears that the house is infested with the Sídhe, sinister fairies who she believes abducted her decades before. As the two women develop a strangely deep connection, Shoo is consumed by the old woman’s paranoia, rituals, and superstitions, eventually confronting the horrors from her own past. An unnerving and spine-tingling folk horror tale from Ireland.
