Founded and hosted by local singer-songwriter Liam Higgins, Brisbane Writers' Round is a showcase in the Nashville tradition celebrating original songwriting. Four artists seated together on stage take turns performing with just a voice and one instrument, sharing through conversation the stories behind their songs and their writing process. Additional time is dedicated to audience Q&A and mingling, making BWR a meeting place for creative professionals across disciplines to connect. Entry is pay what you want ($10 suggested), with all door proceeds paid directly to the performing artists. Round one features: Lottie McLeod, Ella Hartwig, Kelsey Berrington and Bernie May. Location: The Junk Bar, New Farm. Proudly sponsored by Brisbane City Council.
