Awards Season Opening: Digger

special event screening. See Tom Cruise lead this outrageous new satire at our Awards Season Opening Event, plus enjoy a complimentary glass of red or white wine on arrival! 🍷 From four-time Academy Award-winning auteur, Alejandro González Iñárritu (Birdman, The Revenant), comes the politically charged satire, DIGGER, an outrageous dark-comedy that follows the most powerful man in the world, Digger Rockwell (Academy Award nominee Tom Cruise) and his frantic mission to prove he is humanities saviour. Digger Rockwell, eccentric, billionaire oil tycoon spends his days in extravagance and wealth, with not a care for the cost his oil drilling business has on the world around him. However, when an environmental catastrophe caused by his negligence comes to light, he begins a desperate campaign to show the world that he is their unlikely saviour before the disaster destroys everything. Filled with breathtaking production design, transformative makeup and costuming and explosive performances from Academy Award nominee Sandra Hüller, Academy Award nominee Jesse Plemons, Academy Award winner Riz Ahmed and Golden Globe winner John Goodman, DIGGER is an ingenious commentary on the current world we live in, complete with stage-worthy grandeur and spectacle.
