Santa set to make a splash at Sunshine Plaza

Santa Claus is making a splash on the Sunshine Coast this November, with his much-anticipated arrival at Sunshine Plaza set to bring an evening of festive celebrations and, for the first time, a fireworks spectacular. Sunshine Plaza will welcome the man in red back in true coastal style, as Santa and his festive crew arrive by water along the Riverwalk before making their way through the centre in a Christmas parade. This year, the excitement will continue after Santa's Arrival Parade. Families will be treated to a brand-new fireworks finale at 7:30pm, lighting up the Riverwalk precinct and adding an extra touch of spectacle to the annual Christmas celebrations. The festivities will kick off from 4:30pm with a Christmas Disco, bringing festive music, dancing and entertainment with Santa's helpers as families gather to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. From 5pm, all eyes will turn to the water as Santa makes his grand entrance by boat, before leading a festive parade through Sunshine Plaza to his Christmas home in Centre Court. The celebrations will also mark the opening of Santa's Wonderland, with Christmas photography commencing from 5:45pm at Centre Court, opposite LSKD. Disabled access available, contact operator for details. 154 Horton Parade, Maroochydore, Queensland, 4558.
