Rekindle, Rekindle is an experimental film by Gold Coast skateboarder, actor, stunt performer, artist and filmmaker Sarah Huston. Redefining the phrase “skate and destroy,” Huston reframes skateboarding’s masculine associations with destruction through a cyclical, regenerative and nurturing feminist lens. Shot on Super 8, the film follows a skateboarder through a ritual of friction, motion, impact and fire. Through repetition, skateboarding becomes a meditation on destruction and creation, exploring what it means to push the body to its limit, again and again. Time: From 10am
