The workshop will focus on natural and realistic representation of the live model in oils. Limited to 8 places. 9am - 3:30pm both days. An alla prima approach will be demonstrated, including blocking in shapes, proportion, anatomy, design, value/colour relationships, colour mixing and paint handling. Foundational principles will be discussed while demonstrating a variety of technical approaches. Day one will focus on anatomy and proportion with students creating a block-in drawing and one short alla prima painting from the live model.
