SEQAS is proud to host International Observe the Moon Night, NASA's annual worldwide celebration of Earth's Moon. Each year, observers around the globe come together on the same night to share direct observations of our nearest neighbour, and this year you can join them right here in Brisbane's north. Urban Observers is SEQAS's free monthly community telescope night at Barrett Street Park, Bracken Ridge. Our members will have their telescopes set up and pointed at the Moon, along with planets, star clusters and nebulae. Beginners and families are very welcome, and you don't need any equipment of your own. Just turn up, look through the eyepiece, and ask us anything. Register your attendance with us and we'll provide you with an official International Observe the Moon Night participation certificate. Free for All ages. Bring the kids! Got your own telescope? Bring it along and our experienced members will happily help you set it up, collimate it, or get more out of it. Weather check: This event is weather dependent. Check our Facebook page from 4pm on the day for a go/no-go call.
