Sunday Afternoon Live Music - Alys Ffion

Alys Ffion is a born storyteller whose emotionally precise songwriting pairs fearless honesty with intimate lyricism. In 2025, she released her debut Healing Era, a profoundly vulnerable body of work exploring recovery from CSA trauma, survival, and reclamation. Widely recognised for its emotional depth and ability to hold space for difficult conversations, the record cemented Alys as an artist whose music is both deeply personal and powerfully connective. An ARIA-nominated songwriter, Ffion has established herself as one of Australia’s most sought-after collaborators, with a career spanning independent releases, national touring, and years honing her craft in Nashville. Her co-writing credits include Jimmy Barnes and Nathan Cavaleri, alongside a 2025 ARIA nomination for co-writing every song on Taylor Moss’ debut album Firecracker. Beyond her own work, Ffion is a respected mentor and workshop facilitator, championing emerging songwriters. Now a new mum, Alys enters a fresh creative chapter, beginning with her 2026 release Welcome To Motherhood.
