Mozart’s Sister

Discover the remarkable story behind one of classical music’s most overlooked figures. Mozart’s Sister is a compelling documentary that brings to light the life of Maria Anna Mozart — a gifted musician whose talent once rivalled that of her brother, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, yet was largely lost to history. Through archival insight, musical interpretation and contemporary reflection, the film re-examines her story and the broader question of whose voices are remembered — and whose are not. Following the screening, audiences are invited to stay for a live Q&A with special guests (to be announced), offering deeper insight into the making of the film, the music, and the enduring relevance of Maria Anna Mozart’s story today. Presented as part of the Rangebow Festival, this event offers a more intimate and reflective counterpoint to Mozart’s Sister: An Immersive Afternoon, allowing audiences to experience the story in full before stepping inside its world. For a fully immersive experience, audiences are encouraged to also attend Mozart’s Sister: An Immersive Afternoon.
