A 'Session' is a casual gathering of acoustic instruments, such as fiddle, flutes, banjo & accordions. It typically includes tunes, jigs & reels. It fosters a sense of community, where stories & music are shared. 'Celtic Eclectic' met at the Australian Celtic Festival, and decided to start a local monthly Session gathering. We play Irish, Scottish jigs & reels, sea-shanties, and Celtic gypsy culture. Lately it has evolved to tunes from France, Finland & even the Netherlands! It's so interesting to learn the stories and history behind the music.
