Use dothings.lol with your AI assistant

dothings.lol publishes its curated, ranked events as plain static JSON — no login, no API key. An AI assistant with web browsing can read it directly and use whatever it already knows about your tastes to recommend events or put together an itinerary. Copy one of these into a chat:

Recommend events today
Fetch https://www.dothings.lol/llms.txt, then recommend events in [city] for today based on what you know about me.
Plan my week
Fetch https://www.dothings.lol/llms.txt, then plan my week in [city] based on what you know about me.

Your assistant needs web browsing (or a similar "fetch a URL" tool) enabled for this to work — without it, it can't reach llms.txt or the data behind it. Prefer a direct connection? Use the "Connect via MCP" button above — it works with clients that support the Model Context Protocol.

Ask Siri

Two Shortcuts per city: install one, then say its name, like "Hey Siri, what's on in Brisbane tonight". Each reads that city's siri-today.json (refreshed daily) and speaks the top three. "Today" covers the whole day, "tonight" what starts from 4 pm.

Opens in the Shortcuts app on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

For developers

The feed itself lives under /ai/index.json, with one JSON file per city per day and per week — see /llms.txt for the full field reference, wire up a ChatGPT Custom GPT Action against /ai/openapi.yaml, or point an MCP client at https://mcp.dothings.lol/mcp directly.

Install as a Skill

Claude Code, Claude Desktop and other clients that support installable Agent Skills can load one that already knows the fetch order and how to tailor picks to what it remembers about you:

Install the skill
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/dothings-events && curl -s https://www.dothings.lol/skill/dothings-events/SKILL.md -o ~/.claude/skills/dothings-events/SKILL.md

ChatGPT doesn't support installable Skills yet — paste the same file (/skill/dothings-events/SKILL.md) into a Project's instructions instead.
