Teens Acting for Stage & Screen - Rhythm Academy

Rhythm is our teen base. We offer term by term courses in the Performing Arts for teens to build skills, confidence and work towards solid outcomes. We aim to pin point what teens want, and tailor our courses to allow students to not only enjoy what they are learning but to hopefully then use their skills to promote local employment opportunities and performing arts culture within our local region. We hope to connect the dots between teens and pre-professional industry experience. The 2026 Teen Senior Company is a semester of theatre. Rhythm Academy at Bang Academy of Performing Arts is an exciting new teen semester program beginning Tuesday 28 April, running weekly across Term 2 and Term 3 (two eight-week terms, with full commitment required). Throughout the semester, students will take a deep dive into bringing a theatrical work to life—exploring script analysis, scene-by-scene development, story arc, and character understanding. They will learn audition techniques and participate in an in-class audition process, before moving into blocking and staging the production as an ensemble. Students will collaborate on all aspects of theatre-making, including staging, props, costumes, set, lighting, and sound, culminating in a final performance in September 2026. Costs are $250/term (1.5 hours/week for 2×8 week terms). Spaces are limited and all abilities/experience welcome.
